Al Madina Al Zarqa is proceeding with a mojor residential and leisure development in the Bathiah Coastal area north of the town of Barka. This proposal addresses the infrastructure requirements for the first pahse of this development.

Phase one includes three hotels, two of which are five star resort hotels and one four star resort hotels, an 18 hole tournament standard golf resort along with a 9 hole golf course. There will be a golf hotel, villas and apartments, a mega mall providing high quality shopping, a tourist village and souq. In addition a mojor public amphitheatre with a number of residential apartment and villa complexes.

Phase one includes 5km of natural beach and many parks and green spaces. It will provide, in total 670 hotel rooms, and approximately 4,300 residential units, with additional accommodation forming part of the Tourist Village. The development will be served by a network of broad boulevards and access roads and total car parking provision in excess of 12,000 spaces completes the layout of Phase.
